governing body

Members of the Monterey Governing Body are elected at the Annual General Meeting. Membership is voluntary and all elected members are encouraged to serve a three year term.

The primary responsibilities of the Governing Body include:

  • Management of the School’s finances
  • Employment of staff and their well being
  • Compliance with the Western Cape Education Department directives.

The Governing Body of Monterey is a member of the Governing Body Foundation.
